CBM Global Nigeria and Sightsavers Global Disability Summit 2022 Lead the Nigerian OPDs and OfPDs to articulate Global Disability Summit demands from countries and provide the government with a charter of demand across the Five (5) themes. The 3-stages event was carried out in order to activate a Nigerian[1]driven affirmation towards the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), deliberate upon progress made against the Nigerian government’s adopted commitments in the Global Disability Summit (GDS) of 2018, and also to encourage constructive dialogue between persons with disabilities and their representative organizations on thematic priorities ahead of the main GDS22 event in February 2022.

: Completed CBM Global, International Organization for Migration (IOM) and IDA OPD Mapping in the Northeast for Humanitarian and Disaster Actions Mapping exercise of the Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and other informal groups which are engage in the humanitarian sector in the North Eastern part of the country. This is largely expected to facilitate the effective engagement of OPDs in the humanitarian assistance, while information gathered will be used to create a directory of OPDs who are working in the humanitarian sector in the country vis-à-vis their SWOT and other areas of interest. This research is also expected to provide context-based evidence of humanitarian context in the Northern Eastern part of Nigeria.
