Last week, the We Can Work program in Nigeria successfully trained the third cohort of Disability Inclusion Facilitators (DIFs) from eight states. This training is empowering youth with disabilities by equipping them with the skills needed to help mainstream programs, civil society, and the private sector become more disability inclusive.
One of the new DIFs shared their enthusiasm, stating, “The training has been awesome and enlightening. I look forward to implementing all that I have learned, being a good ambassador, and an inclusive professional representing my state, my nation, and the African continent at large. My vision for an inclusive world is one where every person with a disability is given a level playing field to contribute positively to the world.”
A heartfelt thank you goes to Light for the World and Mastercard Foundation for supporting this vital initiative.
Together, we are working towards a more inclusive future!
