Advancing Inclusion: The We Can Work Programme in Nigeria

As we begin the year, we are engaging in in-depth technical reflections alongside the entire team at the Mastercard Foundation Nigeria Office. This initiative is part of the #WeCanWork Programme, aimed at expanding dignified and fulfilling work opportunities for young women and men across Nigeria.

With the invaluable support of Light for the World and the African Disability Forum (ADF), the Young Africa Works partners of the Mastercard Foundation are advancing efforts to ensure that disability inclusion is fully integrated into the Young Africa Works strategy and programs. This includes systematically embedding inclusion into the policies, practices, and approaches of various system actors.

At JONAPWD, we are deeply committed to strengthening inclusive systems, deepening partnerships, and driving impact at scale. Together, we are working toward a future where every young person, regardless of ability, has access to meaningful work and the opportunity to thrive.

Join us on this journey as we advocate for inclusive employment and elevate the voices of young people with disabilities across Nigeria. Together, we can create a landscape where dignity in work is not just a goal, but a reality for all.
