We are excited to introduce the dedicated mentors and inspiring mentees from the following states participating in the Pilot Phase of the Mentorship Program under the Holding Rights, Leading for Rights Project:
Kano, Bayelsa, Plateau, Lagos, Yobe, Federal Capital, Territory (FCT), and Gombe state.

This initiative, supported by the Disability Rights Fund (DRF), aims to empower women with disabilities by fostering collaboration and enhancing their leadership skills.
Building on a Strong Foundation, as highlighted in the recent capacity training workshop themed “Strengthening Cross-Movement Collaboration for Women with Disabilities in Nigeria,” held on May 18, 2023, our mentors are committed to guiding young women through their journeys of advocacy and empowerment.

The workshop emphasized the importance of understanding the historical context of the Nigerian women’s movement and provided participants with essential advocacy strategies.
Through this mentorship program, we aim to equip our mentees with the knowledge and skills necessary to advance their communities’ objectives, ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights are upheld. Together, we are paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future for women with disabilities in Nigeria.

Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this transformative journey!
