She made it to the health center.
But the health center wasn’t made for her.
No ramp.
No accessible entrance.
Just stairs and another reminder that she was not considered.
For many women and girls with disabilities in Nigeria, the hardest part isn’t seeking help.
It’s getting through the door.
Healthcare is not supposed to feel like a barrier.
It should feel like safety. Like dignity. Like belonging.
When facilities are not designed for everyone, access becomes an illusion.
And exclusion becomes normal.
Inclusive health systems are not a luxury.
They are rights.
