On the 23rd of October 2024, a one-day technical meeting was convened with Committee Members on Disability Matters of the House of Representatives, sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation

The objective of the meeting was to discuss the emerging developments on the disability inclusion agenda from a legislative perspective in Nigeria. This gathering is a critical component of the ongoing MacArthur Foundation project titled “Strengthening Accountability and Transparency Frameworks on the Post-Moratorium Cycle of the Discrimination of Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act in Nigeria.”

The activity aimed to ensure proper contextualization of accountability approaches to enhance compliance with the Disability Act, while also providing post-disability inclusion assessment guidelines for multi-dimensional stakeholders at all levels.
